sunset in mirror

There was a glorious sunset in Santa Clarita tonight. At the peak of its color, however, I was still in my car picking up my daughter from cross country practice. I said to her, “Well, about 10 minutes ago, this was an amazing sunset.” She said, “It’s still amazing, Dad.” I replied, “Yes, but I really like trying to capture the photo at the peak of the color.” Her response? “Being able to see it is better than not being able to see it.” She’s so right.
