San Diego Harbor

Often I wait for a moment that never comes, imagining that the colors will be, one way or the other, different from how they have presented. In the end, the colors are what the colors are. I’m learning that my job and my joy is trying to capture whatever that is. Upon reflection, I didn’t enjoy this moment in San Diego, California as much as I should have. My head was in a moment and a location that never existed. And while I can see that clearly in retrospect, I have yet to consistently, fully embrace that in the moment. I guess I’ll just have to keep taking more photos until I get it right.
