“Kookaburras are terrestrial tree kingfishers of the genus Dacelo native to Australia and New Guinea,” and next to the Ostrich and Emu, it’s the bird I think about when I think about Australia. It’s such a beautiful creature. I also think of Magpie’s, but not in a positive sense. I was attacked by one in Brisbane. 🙂
