Sand Fire At Night

The Sand Fire is currently listed as having charred 20,000 acres here in Santa Clarita, California, and threatening 1500 homes. This photo is from Friday night, when it sat at 5000 acres and had just began to pick up steam. In a day it quadrupled in size with just 10% containment. It is doing amazing things with the sun’s light, but that is the only silver lining on this event. The skies all over Los Angeles were scarred yesterday as the smoke plume looked like a nuclear bomb had been set off.
