The best travel advice our team from RealSatisfied was given while attending Banff Western Connection was from a Fairmont Hotel valet named Lianna. She suggested we take Highway 1a from Banff to Lake Louise instead of the main highway. She also suggested we make sure to stop at a vista point close to Lake Louise that looked out over the Bow River and the train tracks. The spot, as it turns out, is famous for photographers and called, “Morant’s Curve.”

The views along the way were so dramatic, twice we thought we had stopped at the right spot prior. However, when we passed this spot, we knew exactly why she made the recommendation. The photo above is from her suggested location, a spot I recommend everyone in the world visit one time before they die. It’s impossible to describe its beauty with words or photos. It must be experienced.

And at almost every turn, there was a vista worthy of any bucket list. This road is a jewel. I could spend the rest of my life taking photos along the side of this road and I’d be a happy man. Here are the panos I created from the 90 minutes we had to enjoy it. Take your time.
