The lonely Haskell Canyon Open Space was waiting there, patiently. After six months away, its trails welcomed me back like an old friend, without judgement. The engagement was rough at first, but it didn’t take long to pick up where we had left off. There is something uniquely calming about the familiar curves of a path you’ve walked hundreds of times before.
