Last night’s long jump 17-18 division competition at the USATF Region 15 Junior Olympics Championships looked to be a competition between Quincy Smith, pictured above, and Israel Thomas, below. But Jaylen Sanders, not pictured, ended up edging Israel for the number two spot in the final results. It’s an amazing thing to watch these stellar athletes soar over 21 feet. And it’s a joy to capture.
