I spend most of my photographic time staring at landscapes.

I rarely get the opportunity (or perhaps more accurately, make the time) to focus my camera on the human face. And the faces I do get to point my camera at don’t typically want to hold still long enough for me to actually focus. And when it comes to photographing people, it’s all about the eyes. That’s hard to do when your subjects are in some phase of attempting to hide from you. (You people know who you are.)

Thanks, Pope, for sitting still & looking confidently at the camera long enough for me to get this one right.
