As I type this, I’m stuck in Nashville, TN on hour 2.5 of a 6.5-hour weather delay. After I learned of the first delay I wandered to the food court to see what was available and that’s when I saw these four lovely women sitting at a table in one of the restaurants. I thought, “I’ve got a few hours, let’s see if they’ll let me snap a few photos. They said yes. 🙂

Turns out they are all members of The Red Hat Society, which, according to the website, is “one of the premier women’s social organizations in the world, the Red Hat Society® based in Fullerton, CA, began with the gift of a red hat and has grown into a universal symbol for women around the globe as they victoriously celebrate turning 50 and entering into the next phase of their lives.”

Well, I don’t know about any of the other women in this organization, but these four were definitely proud to be a part of the group and happy to share. Queen Mum Judy (far left) gave me her card so I could send them their photos and apparently their chapter name is “Dames Of Whinin’ Roses.” I like it. Thanks for letting me entertain myself during my layover, ladies! 🙂
