blazing sunrise

The gates at my “normal” entrances to shorter trails leading to sunrise vista points were all padlocked due to construction, and I was in flip-flops. This left me with no option but to lean my tripod up against the fence and simply “make do” with the view I had on this morning. I had hoped to catch the sun in the valley to the left in this photo, but that was not to be. So the sun took longer to pop over the peak of the hill than I had planned for and I almost showed up late to get my 15-year-old to early morning weight room.

This is what passes for a “problem” in my life at this moment. I am a lucky man.
