Sunset Football, Saugus High School

Every once in a while you’re in the right place at the right time. And I certainly wasn’t expecting to be. Sometimes you get lucky.

Earlier on this day I could tell the sun and clouds were going to cooperate for a great sunset, but I knew I’d be at my 16-year-old son’s 7-on-7 Round Robin event when the sun was going to be putting on its show. For awhile it looked like it might not. And then the color appeared.

My experience is that there are very few moments like this in life, when two passions collide in a single moment and you’re able to capture it in a photo. There are few things I enjoy more in life than watching my children compete, and photographing sunrises and sunsets ranks pretty near the top as well. This is a sweet memory.

And here’s to a fantastic Saugus High School Football season! Go Centurions!
