Vazquez Road Panorama

I don’t always capture the full view from the locations I’m photographing. My camera is so often pointed in the direction of the sunrise or sunset that I forget to take a moment to look around, especially when the area is familiar.

But the sun often does wonderful things when it’s at the most extreme angles, just after sunrise. The shadows are deep and the colors are vibrant. Even “mundane” views get a lift. This is the joy of photography. Views you’ve seen one hundred times, like this view from Vasquez Canyon Road, can always be seen in a new light.
