Just a couple more photos from the awe inspiring sunset the other night. As I walked down the hill to my car, the sunset just seemed to linger, even though I could not. Time is always the enemy when it comes to sunrises and sunsets. It was particularly true on this evening.

I didn’t have the luxury of waiting for the colors to continue their transition. Ten minutes after this shot above, as I drove my 13-year-old son to a friend’s house for a sleep over, the sky was still glowing. He and I talked about how “weird” the sky looked, dark and colorful at the same time. I was thankful for the time I was given to capture this one and for the time in the car with my son, geeking out over a lingering sunset.

Our conversation strayed to other light phenomenon and I told him about a lunar fog bow captured by  Swedish photographer, Göran Strand. His face lit up looking at Göran’s amazing photo, as I’m sure my face lit up looking at him. Life is good.
