As I was putting some recycling in our outdoor bin, I noticed a couple of bees buzzing around the plants in the front yard. I like bees, not as much as sunsets or sunrises, but I do. I decided to take a short break and try to capture one of them lighting on a flower. I tried for a bit and was about to give up and go inside when I heard the faint sound of hummingbird wings behind me. I turned, saw this busy little creature and, without thinking, snapped off a quick, single shot. This falls into the category of a “lucky shot.” And such a beautiful little bird.
