I’m just going to admit it. I should appreciate the sunsets I can see from my own front yard more than I do. I go out of my way to get to a different location, typically a quick trip to Vasquez Rocks, or Castaic Lake or even to the hill above my children’s elementary school. If I’m watching the sunset from my front yard, it’s the result of bad planning, or the other parts of my life needing to take priority. I never really plan to watch a sunset from my own front yard. I never plan to simply pour a drink, sit in one of the Adirondacks, relax and soak it in. I probably should every once in a while.
