I thought about ordering some fancy 20 stop ND filter for my camera and then remembered that my favorite part of an eclipse is what happens when the sun passes through the leaves, shown below. If I had been in the path of the total eclipse, like my son in Boise, Idaho today, I may have made a different decision. However, it turns out the solar glasses my neighbor Mike loaned me made for an interesting image.
