I took this photo on the way into the USATF Region 15 Junior Olympics Track Championships. The Orange Glen High School Marching Band was already in full practice mode. I assumed they had arrived early to beat the heat that was headed to Escondido, California that day. I was wrong.

Over the course of the day, we could see them practicing, through the high temperatures and through session after session of repeated drills. The band was still there when we left the track meet, over 8 hours later. I have no idea when they left, but I left with a new respect for marching band.
