Itching to photograph a sunset, but sick as a dog and unable to climb to a vista above the telephone and electrical wires, I pulled my car into the parking lot of the Northpark Community Pool and walked the short distance to a spot where I could see through the trees and over the fence. I decided I’d shoot in HDR for the first time in forever as well, just to see what results would come.

These two photos are the result of combining five images shot at EV -2, -1, 0, +1, +2. The bottom photo is a panorama created from three HDR images. It was a nice change of pace, though I’m not sure I’ll go back to shooting HDR. I still believe I can pull as much color from a properly exposed single photo from the Sony A7R ii, and frankly, it takes too much time to process. But this did scratch that sunset itch a bit. 🙂
