As I drove up the hill toward my house, I could see a small break in the clouds just above the horizon. It was just what I had hoped for. The clouds looked like they might give way to the sunrise. Below is what greeted me at my photo location.

There was the chance for some gorgeous crepuscular rays, so I waited. And then it happened. The sun’s rays burst through the clouds like fingers reaching up from the mountains. It was a glorious morning.
