Shooting from the passenger window of a car is not the optimal way to take photos. It is the only option sometimes, however. On our recent trip to Chile, I was fortunate to be the passenger most of the time and it gave me the chance to capture a few of the scenes on the Carretera Austral.
The Carretera Austral is Chile’s highway 7. The scenic road runs roughly 1,240 kilometers from the city of Puerto Montt to Villa O’Higgins through rural Patagonia, much of it by Ferry. It is one of the most beautiful roads I’ve had the pleasure to drive on. I hope these passenger’s viewpoint images give you a bit of a sense of its beauty.
