I have no idea what it is about this spot at one of the exits from the Haskell Canyon Open Space that I find so intriguing. I stand for a moment on almost every descent, looking at the textures and thinking, “I know there is a good photo here somewhere.” And then I snap a photo and typically trash it. There are more than 100,000 photos I’ve taken and never shown publicly. Very few of those include ones I’ve taken at this spot, despite my attraction to it. That almost included this one. Maybe one morning I’ll spend an entire glorious sunrise session right here and see what I can produce. Until then, I guess I’ll just keep trying.
