I imagine the probability that I will ever again be in a position to catch two baby hummingbirds sleeping peacefully in their nest is rather low. I can dream that the mother will return to this spot next year, but even then, timing is everything. I remember thinking in this moment, this is a pure illustration of peace – “freedom from disturbance; quiet and tranquility.” This is most certainly that.
