Memorial Day

This is a new edit of a photo I took on Memorial day eight years ago. The original “Child Saluting American Flag” photo has been used most recently by right wing nut jobs attempting to prove that Facebook is somehow against the American flag. They’ve named this boy, “Timmy.” Since this is my son, I know that’s not his name. On this day, I’d love to see it used to spread positive thoughts. That was the original intent.

The photo, like all of my public photos on Flickr, is licensed under a creative commons share and share alike license. If you’d like to use it for something other than spreading lies, you can find the new version in a link from the original above.
