After a day of travel where I had been awake for 22 of the 24 hours, I fell asleep hard. And I got up a bit later than normal, around 5:20am. My wife said, “You know you don’t have to get up.” Silly girl. I had already looked out the window and could see a pink glow beginning to spread across the clouds. I quickly threw on some clothes and drove to the closest view point I could find. The color changes fast in these moments. This was the first shot I took when I arrived at the spot on the trail above Saugus High School. I can’t wait to process the 44 photos I shot throughout this sunrise progression.
