My visit to Watters Smith Memorial State Park was an unexpected treat. On this perfect summer afternoon, all alone in the park, this scene was like stepping back in history. The absence of people not only made it easier to mentally put yourself in another time, but it also made making a panoramic photo easier. 🙂

Watters Smith Memorial Cabin

Standing in this spot, the only reminder that this was 2016, not 1816 was the empty visitor center near the parking lot. Even the paved road behind the fence that leads to the memorial is out of view. Perfect.
