Another photo taken at Venice Beach during the Sand Fire that raged through Santa Clarita. This is a mural depicting Abbot Kinney, the man behind the “Venice Of America” development project that created Venice Beach, California. I don’t believe the Venice Beach of today was the Venice he was envisioning when the project launched.
On this day, however, Venice was magical. The sunlight mixed with the smoke in such an amazing way this day. Everything, even mundane things, had a unique feel.
