Occasionally, a photo pops up in the email I get each day from Shoebox, pointing me to a photo I took on that day several years ago. I went through a long period of time where photos were taken exclusively on my iPhone and often heavily altered in apps before being saved and/or posted here. One such photo appeared here in January of 2011, “Ladies By The Dozens.”

It was taken on a hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. I saw the images associated with that post and could help but wonder, what shot might have I gotten with the cameras I use today, or if I had just processed them differently. I can’t go back in time to retake the photo, but I can sometime reprocess images with decent results. I happy I didn’t delete the original jpeg file. And I’m happy I can post today what I believe to be a better result.
