Here are a few “leftover” photos from a trip to Banff National Park. They are likely to collect virtual dust in a virtual folder if I don’t just post them right now. The photo above was taken along the side of Highway 1 between Calgary and Banff. The photo below was taken later that night on the back side of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

The photo below was the last photo I took at Vermillion Lakes. I snapped it as I was heading back to my rental car. I was enthralled by the purple cloud in the distance, and the glow of the sun off the tips of the mountains.

Above is the Banff Train Depot. I love the idea of riding on a train to this spot one day. Seems like a romantic notion to me. I’ll just add that to my list of desires. That list might also include spending a night in the cabin pictured below. It’s on the path from the public parking lot to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
