“Where the world’s best athletes compete,” is the slogan for the Mt. Sac Relays. It’s a true statement. Twenty world records have been set at this event over the years and each year sees national best marks set at various levels, including a national-best 1 Mile mark of 4:45.24 for Saugus Athlete Mariah Castillo. It’s a world-class event with world-class track & field athletes. And this year it was graced with a world-class sunset to cap off Saturday’s evening competitions. I’d watch my son race in a hurricane, but this day the weather and the sunset were perfect. I’m not sure I could have asked for a better day.
