I was thankful Todd Carpenter told me to take a slightly longer path from the National Association of REALTORS® Headquarters to the Clark/Lake subway station. It was 73, not a cloud in the sky, and there was just a trace of the city’s trademark wind. The scene above, looking back at the DuSable Bridge, was perfection. It deserved a much longer walk.
