I shot this photo almost two years ago to the day. The original post, “One Of My Favorite Sounds,” showed this exact same Praying Mantis, only with less care taken in the editing. The photo shown below has a blue color cast from the sky reflectin on the white car hood. An editing exercise was in order. The goal was to remove that color cast to the best of my ability. I think this version does a better job of highlighting this little creature’s beauty.
