Please allow me to interrupt the flow of still-life photos of flowers found on my hikes to display the inspiration. On my long Saturday morning hikes, typically ranging between 13 and 21 miles these last few months, the changes in light over the course of the hours hit the flowers along the path in different ways. Scenes like this one are what inspired my desire to increase the focus on the flower itself by capturing them against a black backdrop. They are beautiful in either setting. [ location ]
