As dawn begins to break over the Haskell Canyon Open Space, the sun paints its rays parallel to the ground. It’s almost as if a brush, full at the beginning, is pulled across the landscape. It fills in a valley near the start of its path, but only gently covers the mountains at the end of the stroke.
