The hope was to catch the peak of the Leonid meteor shower and get a few shots of them piercing the night sky from a vantage point on Lake Hughes Road in Castaic, California. Unfortunately, moments after we arrive, the clouds began rolling in and our views were obscured. This wasn’t a “storm” year for the Leonids, but it was supposed to be a particularly bright peak. That said, my son, Isaiah went out with me after midnight and we got some quality time in. That’s better than a photo of a meteor. [ location ]
