We were all excited for Zachariah yesterday as he officially signed his National Letter of Intent to run Track for Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. He will be joining a track & field program with one of the best sprint coaches in the country, Coach Chris Parno. Zach loved the MSU track facilities and loved the fact that they have a huge focus on their indoor season in addition to their outdoor season. He also really enjoyed his campus visit. One of Zach’s key decision points for a university was campus diversity and he came away feeling good about the school’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
He was joined at his signing by his sprint coach, Coach Turner (aka, Mom), and his two closest friends — Saugus High School teammate, Brandon Cruz [R], and Valley United Teammate and best friend, Martin Mahaluf [L]. Great work, Zach! You’ve come a long way from your early days running for Santa Clarita Storm Track Club! We’re proud of you and look forward to watching you grow in Minnesota!
