I’ve been trying to capture Raven’s Roost Rock in dramatic light for a long time. By trying I really mean waiting. I’ve been waiting for a morning where it looked like the conditions were right for the color to be positioned properly. This morning felt like it was going to be that morning and, well, I got lucky. The pre-dawn color blasted off the approaching clouds. Timing is everything for a shot like this. Literally. [ Raven’s Roost Location ]
