Because I had a 6:15 am appointment at Kaiser Permanente, Room 1007 at the Kimpton Everly Hotel was home for an evening. I’ve tried to make it a tradition to photograph the views from hotel rooms I stay at. I can’t always get a shot from an open window, so I bought a little device that shields the room lights from bouncing off the window for a shot like the one above. But sometimes the shots I take include the room itself, and maybe a glimpse of the photographer.
