I don’t get the chance to take photos of the Saugus Boys 4×400 team very often. Their coach, Coach Turner, always wants video. I always have to pull screengrabs from the video. So I jumped at the chance to photograph my son, Zachariah Turner (below), and his teammates at practice ahead of Saturday’s CIFF Southern Section Division 1 Finals. My favorite part of the practice was when Coach Turner (my wife) jumped into the exchange zone to throw the 2 to 3 exchange off their game a bit. You never know what’s going to happen in that exchange zone. It’s one of the reasons this race is my favorite to watch.
