There is something special about the winning shots captured at the finish line of a close sprint. You can feel the joy. You can see it in their faces. You can see it in their bodies as the winner understands they have come up victorious.
I’ve noticed that Kennedi Porter of Etiwanda (shown above) makes this same face at the finish of every 100M race. John Riley of Saugus (shown just below), could not contain his joy when he won and hit a personal record in his CIFSS D1 Prelims race. And sometimes the face is simply a reflection of the effort. That is the case with Seth Johnson of Cajon and Kai Graves-Blanks of Upland, the winner in the CIFSS Boys 110M Hurdles final (bottom image below).
