I know “Axial on the rocks” sounds like a drink you might order at a bar. Of course, that’s intentional. I use “on the rocks” a lot when referring to photos I take at Vasquez Canyon Natural Area Park. Coming up with titles for my photo posts is one of my favorite parts of the publishing process, but I’ll admit I do get into a rut with certain phrasing. Axial is new for me, however.
Axial Racing, a radio-controlled car manufacturer that appears to specialize in high-end off-road models. And from what I witnessed, they’re pretty special. Jason, the man who was operating this amazing beast, was kind enough to let a stranger stop and take some photographs. I was mesmerized by how he was able to nimbly maneuver the car over what was, scale-wise, incredibly difficult terrain. Thanks, Jason. I appreciated the unexpected experience.
