Of course, I got up early to catch the sunrise at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota. My youngest son, Zachariah, is beginning his Freshman year here and this morning we’ll move him into his dorm. But yesterday morning the Photographer’s Ephemeris indicated there was a decent shot at some sky fire, so I set the alarm, gave up some sleep, and hit the campus. I had no idea where to go to capture a decent sunrise photo. I prefer to scout a location before trying to capture a sunrise. It didn’t matter. It’s a beautiful campus.
