I’ve been watching Isabella Duarte run since she was a Gremlin competing with the Santa Clarita Storm Track Club. She’s not a Gremlin anymore. She’s a Beast. And Bella is a special human from a special family. And now, as a Senior at Saugus High School, she is enjoying a well-deserved spotlight as a top 10 performer in California. Last week, she finished 13th at the massive Woodbridge Cross Country Classic, with top competitors from all over the United States.
So, I couldn’t resist the chance to capture some photos of her in yesterday’s Foothill League Preview. She dominated the field, and the season is just beginning. Congrats, Bella. You’ve earned every bit of success that comes your way. And if I’m lucky, I’ll get to watch you run for a long time to come!
