On Wednesday, Alemany vs Loyola and Marymount was the first “dual” meet for Alemany’s new Head Coach, Rocky Turner (my wife). I say “dual” since there were actually three schools involved in the meet at the all-boys Loyola High School. Alemany’s girls took on the team from Marymount, an all-girls high school.
It was so good to see the team spirit of each school prominently displayed. Great sportsmanship, good spirits, and happy celebrations were the order of the day. Watching the track and field program build at Alemany High School is going to be a real thrill! And the excitement continues next week as Coach Turner takes her team to Notre Dame to face her alma mater and her former high school Coach, Joe McNab. 🙂
