I had no idea this was a Blue Dasher Dragonfly when I started taking photos of this beautiful insect. A simple Google search fixed that for me. I’m always happy when I get to take photos of new and different bugs. The Blue Dasher Dragonfly has a stunningly beautiful blue coloration on its abdomen and a fluorescent turquoise head that changes colors as it shifts in the sun. The ones hanging out at the man-made pond near our home were perfect little models. 🙂
