The Pacific Great Blue Herons at Esquimalt Lagoon in Victoria, British Columbia, were the perfect subject for the lens I had with me this morning. These were shot with the Sony FE 24-240mm f3.5-6.3 OSS Lens. I find it’s an excellent travel lens. It’s wide enough for street photos and long enough for shots like these. I won’t lie. I’d love to have had a Sigma 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS Sport for this morning. Many other birds making their way to Esquimalt Lagoon deserved capture but were too far away. Oh well, there’s just more to look forward to in this life.
