In The Eye Of The Beholder - Sunrise in Punalu'u

As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Having seen 28 other sunrises during our stay in Punalu’u, I am conditioned to a particular kind of sunrise beauty. I’ve also learned that you can’t trust the first view. You have to wait and see what happens. The sky changes quickly here. When we walked out to the beach, it looked like there would be no visible sunrise. Storm clouds covered the horizon. Then a break opened up and gave us a different kind of spectacular sunrise, just before the rain chased us inside. This place never ceases to amaze me.
