The photo above captures what winning a high school basketball final in triple overtime must feel like! And win Bishop Alemany did, 86-80. The Alemany boys led most of the contest until Bosco Tech put on a fourth-quarter surge to tie the game. Then, Bosco Tech hit buzzer-beaters in both the first and second overtime to push the game to a third!
It was, without question, one of the most exciting high school basketball games I’ve witnessed in 40 years. In 1983, I sat on the floor covering the Indiana State High School Basketball Championships at Market Square Arena. I was 21 years old and covering the final four games for the Warsaw Times Union, and the camera was a black and white film camera. I wish I still had those images. 🙂
Here are a few of my favorite shots. The entire album of 174 images can be found here: Alemany vs Bosco Tech CIFSS 3A Final. Please note: 100% of the profits from my photo sales support local youth track and field programs.

I think the son of a good friend of mine teaches at Bosco. Would it be ok if I share the pictures with him, if he is interested? Let me know.
Jane, of course!!!
