This Red-tailed Hawk posed in the mulch behind the Jersey Mike’s at the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and McBean in Valencia, California. The Red-tailed hawk is the most common in Southern California, but you rarely see them standing within 20 feet of you in a busy area. The image above was taken while shooting video at 15x. It was then fed through Topaz Gigapixel AI’s new Redefine AI to upscale it. The 5x optical zoom on the iPhone 16 produced the image below (no upscaling).
