I’ve made no secret that this stretch of Wickwire Road is my favorite patch of West Virginia Country Road to photograph. But it’s been a long time since I visited my hometown of Grafton, West Virginia. In the winter. It has been even longer since snow graced one of my visits. So, instead of my typical lush green Wickwire Road photo post, I decided to go black and white for these shots. It was a joy to see this stretch of road covered in snow. I was like a little kid jumping out of the car to capture these iPhone shots. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking them, but I’m not sure that’s possible.
And for the record, my favorite country road is the last photo in this post. 🙂

They touch my heart.
Hey that’s my favorite bit of road!
I think I knew that, Kim. So good to see you!
That makes me very happy!
