We didn’t plan to sit and watch the geese at Los Lagos de Palermo. The city had overwhelmed our senses, and we were looking for a quiet place to walk around that felt like we were in nature. We thought the Jardín Japonés de Buenos Aires would be the place, but when we got there, we changed our minds. Looking into the park, it felt too much like Disneyland. That’s not what we were looking for.
So we took a short walk to Los Lagos de Palermo, sat on a bench by the water, and watched the geese. We then spent the afternoon at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, and the combo did exactly what we had hoped—it calmed our nervous system a bit.
